MAI East · Muscat · Halls open since 2016
The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre opened its exhibition halls in June 2016, the first public chapter of Madinat Al Irfan. Today it hosts congresses, exhibitions, concerts and official occasions.
AECOM worked on its design and engineering. The result is five column-free halls, the largest fixed-seating auditorium in the GCC, two ballrooms and more than 55 flexible meeting spaces, four kilometres from Muscat International Airport.
For organisers it is a venue. For investors it is the anchor of MAI East, bringing delegates, exhibitors and visitors to the hotel quarter, the Business Park and the city around them.

One of the two largest halls at OCEC: 4,880 m² of column-free floor that joins Hall 2 to seat more than 10,000 theatre-style.

Twenty meeting rooms for 25 to 360 delegates, ten hospitality suites and a VIP Pavilion, all under the same roof as the halls and the auditorium.
