The Al Irfan Grand Mosque is planned as the spiritual centre of the city: a place for the five daily prayers, Friday congregation and the great gatherings of Ramadan and Eid.
True to the name of the city, which means knowledge, the mosque complex includes a library, a Quran school and a majlis for lectures and community conversation, with gardens open to all.
